I Was Not Ready for This Test

Story

It was Monday morning, and I felt tired. I didn’t want to go to school. I sat at the kitchen table and drank my tea. My mother looked at me and asked,

«Are you okay?»

«I think so,» I said. «I just feel a little tired.»

She smiled. «You should go to school. You have an important day.»

I didn’t answer. I had a strange feeling, but I didn’t know why.

The Teacher Called My Name

Story

It was a quiet morning at school. I walked into the classroom and sat at my desk. I felt a little nervous, but I didn’t know why. Everything looked normal. My classmates talked and laughed. The teacher was not in the room yet.

«Hi,» she said. «Did you do the homework?»

Story

It was Wednesday morning, and I arrived at school a little late. The hallway was full of students, and everyone was already going to class. I walked quickly and opened the classroom door.

That Strange School Day

Story

It was a normal morning. I woke up, had breakfast, and went to school.

The weather was fine, and I felt okay. I thought it would be an ordinary day.

When I arrived, something felt different. The school was very quiet. There were not many students in the hallway.

«Where is everyone?» I asked my friend Alex.

«I don’t know,» he said. «It’s strange.»

We went to our classroom. Only a few students were there. Lisa was sitting at her desk.

«Hi,» she said. «Do you know what is happening?»

«No,» I said. «Everything looks different today.»

The teacher came in a few minutes later.

«Good morning,» she said. «Today will be a special day.»

We looked at each other.

«A special day?» Alex asked.

«Yes,» the teacher said. «Today we will not have normal lessons.»

Now I was really surprised.

«What will we do?» Lisa asked.

«We will have activities,» the teacher said. «Games, group work, and small projects.»

«That sounds fun,» I said.

«First,» the teacher said, «you will work in groups and solve a puzzle.»

She divided us into groups. I was with Alex and Lisa.

We got a paper with a puzzle. It had questions and pictures.

«This is not easy,» Alex said.

«Let’s try,» I said.

We read the questions and talked together. Sometimes we didn’t understand, but we helped each other.

Lisa said, «Maybe this is the answer.»

«No,» Alex said. «Look at the picture again.»

After some time, we found the right answers.

«Yes!» I said. «We did it.»

«Good job,» Lisa said.

Then we had another activity. We had to draw a place and describe it.

I drew a park. Alex drew a city. Lisa drew a beach.

«Now describe your picture,» the teacher said.

I stood up and spoke.

«This is a park. People walk, play, and relax here.»

It was easy and fun.

After that, we had a short break. We talked and laughed.

«This day is really strange,» Alex said.

«Yes,» I said. «But I like it.»

At the end of the day, the teacher said,

«You did very well today. I hope you enjoyed it.»

«We did,» we said.

When I walked home, I thought about the day.

It was not a normal school day. It was different, but interesting.
